Purpose

HMAI Goa state branch was created to organize and unite Homoeopaths all over Goa so that they can collectively contribute to the propagation of Homoeopathy and Homoeopaths and via that, can contribute to the physical, mental and spiritual wellbeing of the society we serve.

Achievements

In over a decade of the existence of HMAI Goa branch, we have contributed immensely to the cause of Homoeopathy and Homoeopaths in Goa. Some of those are mentioned below(pics in gallery)

1. HMAI Goa branch has organized numerous free medical camps and awareness talks for the general public. We have laid emphasis to do this especially in areas where our members practice, so that our member doctors are introduced in the area(if new) as well as it is convenient to refer the camp patients to the doctors clinic for follow up(it being in the same locality).
2. We provide dilution kit of over 120 bottles for usage at the camp free of cost, along with other stationery and accessories to help out our member doctors.
3. We have started giving a Hahnemann award since 2014 to upcoming Homoeopaths in Goa. This was started to encourage new practitioners to practise with even more zeal.
4. We also honour senior Homoeopaths (with more than 30 yrs of practice in Goa) with the lifetime achievement award.
5. Organised seminars and workshops for Homoeopaths from Goa(members as well as non-members) to update them about the latest developments in Homoeopathy. Various well known speakers from outside Goa have been invited by HMAI for seminars like Dr Amarsinha Nikam, Dr Gajanan Dhanipkar, Dr Praful Borkar, Dr Jatin Valia, Dr Bajrang Bhosale & Dr Sunirmal Sarkar.
6. We have also hosted foreign speakers of Homoeopathy like Klaus Henning Gypser from Germany, Meirav from Israel and Matthias Strelow from Germany. This helped our Homoeopaths gain valuable knowledge about Homoeopathy from outside India.
7. HMAI Goa branch was awarded the best performing state branch in India for our outstanding work in the development of Homoeopathy in 2016.
8. We also organized a national level seminar with more than 800 doctors participating from all over India. We were the smallest and youngest state branch to do so.
9. We organized a hugely successful cultural evening for Homoeopaths from Goa called ‘Homoeo Glitterz’ in 2019 to display their ‘non-medical’ talents on stage as well as off stage.
10. We have also organized talks for Homoeopaths like ‘How to start and establish your own clinic’, ‘How to make 2 min prescriptions’, ‘Biological sex & gender identity’. These talks are unique for doctors and we are proud to have presented these to our Homoeopathic fraternity.
11. We started a free cabin space scheme for newly passed out doctors in 2018 wherein they were given a rent free cabin to practise and establish themselves.
12. In 2016, there was a smear campaign being run against Homoeopaths in certain sections of the media. HMAI vociferously opposed it by uniting Homoeopaths and led a delegation to meet the then AYUSH minister and Health minister of Goa.
13. We pioneered mass Homoeo Prophylaxsis in India by being one of the first organizations to administer it to a 9000 strong Goa Police force in early April 2020.

Future of the Organization

We have envisioned a future where Homoeopathy becomes one of the first choice treatments for people in Goa. For this, we need to unite so that we can propagate the benefits of Homoeopathy to the masses in a much better way. We are striving towards this goal with a lot of zeal and enthusiasm.
